What about web site hosting?
The Web Management Studio framework requires a Microsoft Web Server supported by a Microsoft SQL Database Server. We can provide a suitable web hosting service for £180/year (plus VAT). Alternatively, most commercial web hosting companies can readily provide such an environment, usually as one of their standard hosting plans.
In general terms, there are three main hosting options:
- Hire/rent space and services on a 'shared' server from a web hosting company
- Hire/rent a dedicated server and services from a web hosting company
- Run your own web and database servers and associated services. See our hosting requirements document for more details.
For the majority of customers, option #1 represents the cheapest and most reliable mechanism for hosting their Web Management Studio web site. Typical costs range from less than £100/year to around £300/year depending upon the additional features offered.
