Web Design
The importance of the graphical/visual design of your web site cannot be overstated. Your design needs to:
- Fit in with the overall brand and image of your company/business
- Make it easy for your visitors to find the information they are looking for (site navigation)
- Present your content in a structured and easy to read format
- Encourage your visitors to respond to your messages. Your web site is, after all, one of your primary marketing tools.
Ultimately, your web site is a shop window into your company and it is important that its design is well considered. Your web site must make a positive impact on your visitors as many will decide whether to investigate your site further or simply leave and look elswhere in a matter of just a few seconds.
Coupled with all this is the undeniable fact that web design is very subjective - you may like the purple and black design that you have found, but will the majority of your customers?
Establishing the Design
Before we can start to build your Web Management Studio application we will need to accurately establish the visual design of your site. The design that you present to us will be accurately represented on your new web site.
Typically the design will be established in one of the following ways:
- You already have an existing web site that you want to manage with Web Management Studio. In this instance, the design of your new web site will simply reflect that of the existing web site - for all intents and purposes the two web sites will look the same
- You have a detailed design and layout that you want translated into your new web site.
Design Formats
Your design should be prepared using one of the professional software graphic applications such as Adobe PhotoShop® or Adobe Illustrator®. The design should be presented in a layout that accurately reflects the size and proportion of a web browser window (an A4 sized image does not translate well to a web screen!).
Graphic Designers
In most cases, the best results are achieved by working with a designer that is experienced in web design. Web Management Studio are happy to work with your own designer or we can put you in touch with one of our Web Management Studio Design Partners for a free, no obligation dicussion.
Please contact your Web Management Studio Account Manager for details or further information on the design process and requirements.
